A great save for me was quitting smoking. What an awful habit! Even out in the Chicago suburbs a pack was running me $7 a day. I saved $196 a month that I'm now putting towards a credit card. Cha-ching.

I had to get that cup of coffee daily so I would buy a cup everyday...now I make coffee at work and put that savings away. It is a great feeling knowing that I can do this.

I went on Chantix to quite smoking and i did it! $10.50 in NY! I also refinanced my car from 587 to 491. I stopped my gym membership of $19.99 a month. And finally i got rid of the mattress and laptop payments i was financing which totalled $90 a month!

Standing in checkout line with a 19 dollar purse. Thinking it's only 19 dollars 'cause it's on a great sale and it's so cheap! I even had the 20 dollars in my hand.
I put it back and just moved 20 dollars into my savings account.....

I used to spend about $5/day on Starbucks lattes, plus a cookie or two a week as well. I saved for my own espresso machine which only cost me $150 and now I'm making my own lattes each day - plus saving the calories of those cookies!

I saved more than $112 on textbooks for the semester. Instead of purchasing the books, I requested them from the university's Interlibrary Loan.

Thrift stores are a great way to add to my wardrobe in an inexpensive, fun way. I cleaned out my closet and donated items I don't wear for a tax deduction. Now I find high end, name brand fashions and vintage items for $2.99 or less to spruce up my wardrobe.

Started using the texfree app on cell phones for unlimited free texting and saved $10 a month on the texting plan. Also signed up for a discount on our cell phones through my employer and now we save another $21 a month on our cell phone service and another $10 a month on our DSL internet service. It really pays to take advantage of employer discounts and look into free services!
